So is it possible to have a discussion about the covid shot and the uterus/reproductive tract without panicking? I am not all that panicky about whatever is happening with all the spotting/cycle changes for myself. I am sorta worried about for my kid. But mostly I’m curious-
And I have all sorts of questions, but in my offworld life, when I bring it up, people jump away like Bambi’s mom in the meadow or start with THIS IS WHY.... stuff and that DOES make me go into anxiety swirls.
Anyway. So, I’ve been reading and I am going to ask questions and I don’t want to hear ‘this is why I’d neeever!!!!’ In comments. You’ve been warned!
Ok so I read that these shots are basically pumping up our immune system. Got it. I then read that the uterus/repro tract has its own immune system, like the nose or gut lining or whatever does. THAT is what I want to talk about!!!
Bcz wait what???? Is that true? How interesting! And what does that meeean? Why does repro tract have its own immune system? What is its purpose? How does it work? What kicks it into gear?
Nobody ever told me that repro tract has immune system and I’m sort of thrilled by the immune system just in general but also SNOT!!! The miracle substance!!! And I am just so pissed that they never teach aaanything about repro system besides DONT HAVE SEX CUZ ULL GET PREGNANT!
And so I’m just trying to imagine what various responses mean in terms of a kicked in the pants immune system might mean about repro tract. Like—if somebody skipped cycle and it’s related to covid shot. Is that an inflammatory response?
Like, repro tract is signaling—aaah sickness sickness fight it off with inflammation!!!
Or does the repro tract do a shedding thing—aaah sickness sickness dump all stored up blood can’t be pregnant now!
Am I the only it makes mad that I don’t know anything about immune system response in any type of repro tract? I mean, if it’s there for uterus, it’s gotta be there in some way for testicles, right?
What does immune response look like in testicles? Anybody have any idea??
Is there a difference between why you bleed super heavy versus why you don’t have any periods at all in terms of immune system? There’s a difference in fluid quality for lungs, for example.
Like, thick hacking phlegm where you blow your nose and tons come out or you cough up a mouthful—that calls for a different method of treatment than inflammation from being completely dried out due to fire season.
Is ‘fluid’ of uterus repro tract (in whatever form, blood, discharge etc) inform us in anyway of immune response of tract?
