i really think we need to talk about how nctzens treat johnny... johnny is the first neo, starting his training in 2008 when he was only 13 years old, training for YEARS and watching his friends debut. he could’ve easily given up and went back home, but he kept training +
he didn’t even get to debut in nct 127, and he had to wait until the second album in order to join. he once again watched as his closest friends debuted, and he still kept fighting for his chance. but he finally got his opportunity and he’s been accomplishing so much ever since +
johnny is an incredible dancer. his tall frame makes him have to work twice as hard as everyone else in order to stay on beat and pull off moves. despite that, he still grabs viewers attention and performs smoothly!!!
i really love his gimme gimme center part so i’m plugging that here
also in good thing i think his dancing is really satisfying. very fluid and smooth!! and his overall energy on stage is just so captivating
he owns this move it’s true !!
and this always amazes me. he was at the highest part of that structure and he still moved around it so effortlessly. this ties into stage presence again! he must’ve been nervous, but his face doesn’t show it at all.
now moving onto his vocals. johnny is a vocalist and a rapper! he has a really smooth and deep voice. here are some of my favorite johnny singing moments that i think you should all see

johnnys rapping style is really nice as well. he has a light voice when he raps, and it’s typically very upbeat and bright. it’s the kind of sound that makes a listener happy and bouncey!!
don’t forget that he participated in misfit, a song consisting of the main rappers of nct!!! it seems like sm is utilizing his rap skills a lot these days, which is really happy news because he’s so talented at it
johnny is the second oldest of nct, a group of 23, which means there’s a lot of pressure on him. his members always look to him for guidance and comfort. he’s an absolute bubble of joy and so easy to relax around. when the neos were rookies they all talked about how +
welcoming and open johnny was. his calm and sweet attitude allows for people to cling to him and feel comfortable. he’s always including the members in his contents like jcc and his relay cams. he loves to spend time with his members and share new experiences with them!
one of my favorite memories was johnny going to get his nails painted with yuta. he knew that yuta wanted to do it but was a bit nervous to try something new, so he made a fun day out of it for the two of them! and of course he shared it with nctzens because he always finds +
a way to express his love and gratitude for fans. he sends out sweet bubble messages and releases fun content for everyone to enjoy. he’s a hardworking man who genuinely takes pride in his art and sharing wonderful gifts for his supporters.
i’m just tired of seeing nctzens reduce him to a background character. each neo acts as a pillar for the group in their own way, bringing something unique to the table. johnny is no different. nct wouldn’t be the same without his bright and fun nature, or without his many talents
so please, don’t speak about johnny unless it’s praise. he’s talented, caring, sweet, hard working, determined, and so much more than what you all paint him out to be. this goes for all members too, just stop trying to shove them into a box. it’s a really common thing in ncity +
where fans try to adapt the image of a neo in order to fit some weird narrative. you don’t know these idols personally, so you don’t have any say in deciding who they are. if you don’t appreciate the neo’s hard work, then please just keep them out of your mouth entirely.
