No what makes me so sad about Ben Solo is that he's treated irl exactly the same as he's treated in-universe and nothing can be done to counter it bc in-universe everyone made up their minds when he was born the heir of Vader and irl people did the same from TFA's first trailer

Nothing can be done to explain that he became a villain because everyone around him from when he was born told him that that was all he could be, that that was his destiny whether or not he chose it, so he made it his choice and gave himself a new identity to claim agency over it

And that he hated every second, hated himself every second but couldn't see another path for himself until he was shown a path back to light, back to compassion, back to hope and no one fucking listens they all just want him to be the bad guy who gets decapitated by the girlboss
