Can we normalize working on a creative project just because it gives you life in the moment to do so and if you never finish it that’s okay because you worked on it for a time and it soothed your mind and that’s enough?
I just kept guilting myself that I have a podcast episode to edit and publish, an unfinished novel, a half finished pair of shorts, a game about mushrooms, etc and like... no one is making me finish them. I started them for the fun of it and if I do finish them someday, nice.
But if not, they were still something I spent happy hours fiddling with and talking about and I don’t think I should feel BAD for not completing them. Sometimes puttering in your hobbies doesn’t have to equal a product. The doing and enjoying can be the product I think. Maybe 🤷‍♀️
