Bantu ethnic groups are colonised people, under white supremacy, they are assigned the category 'non-human'. In the efforts of trying to reclaim their humanity, Bantu groups subjugate Indigenous peoples (Twa, Mbuti in ). Bantu hegemony serves and upholds white supremacy

For the most part, Indigenous peoples do not live their lives the way Bantu groups do and have different relationships to the land (the formation of states precolonial CA changed groups relationship to the land), because of this they are judged to have no history of their own

In the name of conservation, national parks like Virunga displace Indigenous groups. Between the 1960s & 1975, the Zairian Institute for the Conservation of Nature (IZCN) expelled 580 Batwa families (roughly 3,000 to 6,000 people) from their home in the Kahuzi-Biega forest

By 2000 50% of the Batwa expelled from the forest had died. The expulsion of indigenous peoples is an act of genocide, justified by conservation and tourism. Research on the Peruvian Amazon by Schleicher (2017), showed that Indgenious guide and intervention reduce deforestation

'[indigenous people have their] own traditional conservation technologies. The animals that the modern law wants to conserve are already under [their] customary protection' – Mapenzi, a Mbuti person (Gauthier and Pravettoni, 2016)
