I think I& #39;ve reached the point where I can no longer talk about the topics addressed in The Hate U Give. Mentally, emotionally...it& #39;s too much. And it& #39;s constant.

I have a few more speaking engagements, but that& #39;s gonna be it for a long time.

Also, don& #39;t know if colleges and universities realize this but I can talk about way more than racism. Just FYI...

The way my whole body clenches during Q&As at these events as a white person demands I tell them what they need to do to fix racism.

For 4 years now. Over and over and over again.

I& #39;m just realizing the effect this has had on me.

Anyway, going to write this fantasy book. Thankful for creativity.

This is the last year I’m going to do talks about THUG. That book came out in 2017. I’ve said all I can say about it.

I’m done with it.
