The Prophet ﷺ‘s appearance; a thread
The Prophet ﷺ was mind-bogglingly handsome but his handsomeness was covered with dignity, majesty and reverence
1. His appearance ﷺ,

I saw a man of striking appearance
radient face, beautifully created
His belly wasn’t protruding nor was his head disproportionate and small
Proportionate and delicate finely made a specimen of a creation

[Anas Ibn Malik]
2. His eyes ﷺ,

in his eyes there was a contrast, the dark was immensely dark and the white was excessively white and his eyelashes were long
3. His eyebrows ﷺ,

his eyebrows were arched, but they weren’t joined it was separated
4. His neck ﷺ,

his neck was elegantly long
5. His hair ﷺ,

his hair was perfectly in the middle it wasn’t too straight nor was it too curly but instead it was wavy hair and he would sometimes keep it to his ear lobes and sometimes he would let it go all the way to his shoulder
[At-Tirmidhi]
6. His beard ﷺ,

he had a dense full beard and he used to comb his hair and he used to comb his beard and they were fully black and the Sahabah counted just between 14 and 20 grey hairs in his hair and his beard at the time of his death
7. His teeth ﷺ,

his teeth were perfectly set and his teeth were described as white as hailstones and they weren’t clustered together, they were set in a way that there was a fine line between each of those teeth
8. His body ﷺ,

he wasn’t too tall nor was he too short
his skin wasn’t too light nor was it too dark
his face wasn’t too round nor was it too narrow
his nose wasn’t too flat nor was it too pointy he had a finely sloped nose

[Tirmidhī]
9. His height ﷺ,

he was medium in height your eye didn’t have to strain to look up at him nor was it tedious to look down at him he was a comfortable sight to look at
10. His shoulders ﷺ,

he had broad shoulders he was strong he had a strong chest and even until the day of his death his stomach never extended beyond his chest so he maintained his weight and fitness
11. His hands and feet ﷺ,

his hands and feet were smoother than silk and water would slither right off of the hands and the feet of The Prophet ﷺ
12. His scent ﷺ,

he had a beautiful scent he would sweat perfume, Subhana’Allah. and If you shook the hand of The Prophet ﷺ you would maintain the scent of his hand on your hand for days after meeting him ﷺ
13.His smile ﷺ,

He always was smiling Subhana’Allah in sadness, in happiness he always had a smile on his face when he was happy his face was become more radiant

He ﷺ said; “Smiling in your brother's face is an act of charity” [Tirmidhi]
He (ﷺ) is described as being more beautiful than the full moon The Prophet (ﷺ) had an awe inspiring appearance his face was more radiant and more beautiful than the full moon on the darkest night, Subhana’Allah
Ana’s Ibn Malik said:

one night it was the full moon night and I looked at the moon and the moon is in an awesome sight it’s smooth, it’s radiant, it’s clear.
so he say let me go see if the moon is more handsome or my Prophet ﷺ is more handsome let me see if that’s more beautiful or the Prophet ﷺ is more beautiful
So I went and I saw him standing a far so I looked at his face and I looked at the moon and he said wallahi he was more handsome than the moon in its entirety
that’s just the look of our Messenger ﷺ, Subhana’Allah
Aisha [RA] said:

I was sowing with the needle and my needle dropped in the dark I couldn’t find it I said Ya’ Rasool ﷺ I can’t find it. He moved his face close and I swear bout of the radiant of his face I found my needle
The Sahabah say; when we used to sit at his feet feelings conflicting would come on the heart you wanted to look at him you wanted to behold the majesty of his face and when you wanted to look up, shyness used to overtake so you used to look down.
Amr Ibn As said,

I sat with him many times but if you ask me to describe his face I can’t describe it, I wouldn’t be able to look up at him out of his majesty and reverence I couldn’t look up at him
Imagine sitting with the prophet ﷺ near the rivers of jannah listening to his stories. may Allah (swt) make us amongst those who get to meet him ﷺ on the day of Qiyamah, Allahumma aameen.
