not me crying over lrt

my dog is huge but very afraid of other dogs/places that smell like many dogs.... my family wants me to keep forcing him to interact with those places to teach him theyre fine but he constantly wants to run away ;__;

when he was a puppy we had him in puppy socialization classes for months, where it was just. playtime for puppies. and he'd sit on me the entire time. the trainer had me leave for all the sessions after. and luca would sit by the nearest exit and scratch the whole time

he simply did not want to be in the playroom with other dogs. he ignored dogs that would play w him. he only likes to play with dogs that he meets often...

i kept taking him to puppy classes hoping he would adjust but he never did... and then he got too big to be let into puppy playtime...

;__; i dont mind him being a little weird! and not wanting to be around other dogs.... i dont hike, i dont go to crowded parks, i dont go to the beach, and so i dont need him to be trained to like those areas
