most probably a very unpopular opinion but if Rachel Berry wasn't as annoying as she was most people wouldn't overlook the fact that Santana was a bully that easily.

It's one thing to acknowledge the character development but most people just forget the bully part.

Like Santana's character was poc, LGBT+ and also hella vocals which ofc we didn't see as much of because the show was obviously about rachel. So I feel like that played a huge role in how likable her character was. Also she was def very badass woman vibes.

And tbh I feel like Rachel's personality was a way to protect herself. If she wasn't obsessed with her dream to make it big I'm not sure if she would have made it point blank with how McKinley was. Not going to defend her shitty actions but sometimes I just think about her.

ofc glee writers would have never actually cared enough to maybe explore that route, they needed to write the 12th cheating plotline instead.

I think because of them casting actors ages 24+ to play highschoolers we forget that these are supposed to be 13-15 year olds. if they actually casted age appropriate children I don't think Rachel would have come off as annoying or be disliked as much as she is.

The time Santana auditioned for the understudy and yk Rachel loses it. I understand her. No matter how much you forgive a person and are friends it's hard to forget that this person was once your bully that would have done anything to rip something away from you.

None of the cheerios joined glee club because they wanted to sing. Pretty sure it was the same group of people through middle school & HS so the popular bullies most probably were being mean from wayy back. Rachel most probably saw it as HS 2.0 for a while.

now as I'm writing this thread,,,,the cheating plotlines. too much for high school. a few couples, okay BUT ALMOST ALL OF THEM AND LIKE MULTIPLE TIMES WHYYYY
