and I fully understand that it is often easier to pronounce for those who are native spanish speakers / Portuguese speakers but the cop behavior of getting mad at others simply using the word latinx feels weird bc often it’s simply getting mad that people are changing a Spanish

word into something “westernized” or “Americanized” when in reality it’s simply another inclusive term. i frankly don’t give a shit about protecting the Spanish language when it was forcefully pushed onto my people who had their own indigenous languages that were decimated by

European imperialists who killed off my ancestors and are the reason I will never understand where the fuck I come from. there are literally no existing records past my grandparents or great grandparents on either side of my family due to colonization so give me a break

if dont find latinx breaking the conventions of spanish a horrible idea. i wont get mad at a non latine / latinx person for using it because it means they’re at least fucking trying to be inclusive. step out of your colonizer mindset you sound like fucking cops.
