I debated posting this as I know people on both sides will take it the wrong way. But this part of what ⁦⁦ @TimScottSC⁩ said last night is my lived experience. I’ve been called racial epithets by progressives far more than by conservatives. Be the change you wish to see.

And people are already taking/ using this wrong & for their own purposes. I’m an independent and this wasn’t a swipe at Dems-it was an acknowledgment of the fact that some people use their politics to justify actions and language they claim to disdain. And it’s my experience.

Also happens with many who proudly call themselves Christians. Many people preach and claim the mantle of tolerance, but are quick to show their own intolerance- usually based on their political beliefs.
