Months after we called for action, years after a report on sexual misconduct was released, the Liberals chose to make this announcement to protect Katie Telford – not the women in the Canadian Armed Forces.
For three months, the Trudeau Liberals have failed to take action.
During that time, the Liberals have been misleading Canadians with their cover-up of sexual misconduct in the CAF. The Trudeau Liberals have also refused to take any accountability for their failure to act on sexual misconduct allegations against General Vance three years ago.
Over two months ago, Conservatives took action and laid out a plan to tackle the issue of sexual misconduct in the CAF. This included a service-wide independent investigation into sexual misconduct in the military, ...
...suspending all general and flag officer promotions and salary increases while the investigation into sexual misconduct in the military is taking place, and introduce policies to ensure future complaints are made to an external independent body outside the chain of command.
