I’m starting a new thread sharing thoughts from teachers in and around Regina that they can’t post publicly. DM me anytime. I’ll be your voice if you feel your job is at risk using yours. #COVID19SK #yqr #sask
From an ECE:
How many subs have *your* kids had in the classroom this year?
Sure they can’t force you to shut up, but blacklisting is a real fear teachers and other staff have.
Imagine if teachers (across SK) had been prioritized for vaccinations at the end of March when #yqr students moved to online learning.
They found out they’re heading back on the news. Imagine that while eating lunch. SURPRISE TEACHERS!
This is from a Regina parent. A classroom of 29 and two teachers. And now - pairing up when they arrive on Monday. Surprise!
Spouses of educators in the province have said this to me a lot this past year. Worried about your loved one? Be careful what you post on social media, it could impact their career.
Clearly teachers have been wanting to speak up and haven’t felt safe to. I know media is interested in talking to them but there’s no way they’d feel ok speaking up. And they know this means it keeps them and their students in danger. What a terrible position to be in.
Follow these helpful unwritten rules and you’re good! Step out of line and...?
“Babysitters of the infected”

There’s definite concern about contact tracing, kids being sent to school sick or with a sick parent at home.
I know @RCSD_No81 @RegPublicSchool are likely not happy with me right now but I just got a message from an ICU nurse. They need to read it. Everyone needs to read it. Please share.
