Article 7 of the Nation State Law further states that “the State views the development of Jewish settlement as a national value & shall act to encourage & promote its establishment and strengthening”

June 2018, # of Knesset members sought to introduce a bill to define  as a state of all its citizens,but Knesset presidium disqualified it before it could be discussed since it “seeks to deny Israel’s existence as state of the Jewish people,” Knesset legal advisor said @hrw

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, iMarch 10, 2019, post on the social media platform Instagram, stated, “Israel is not a state of all its citizens,” but rather “the nation-state of the Jewish people and only them. @hrw
