STRIKE! aka ALL I WANNA DO, written and directed by @SarahKernochan is a one-of-one. effectively buried in the united states after a tiny theatrical release (as a direct result of HARVEY WEINSTEIN btw), this movie is pure antidote to the dude comedies of the late 90s.

an in.the.POCKET kirsten dunst, gabby hoffman, rachel leigh cook, merritt wever, heather matarazzo, monica keena, vincent kartheiser and lynn redgrave. immaculate kennedy-era costuming. crystal clear politics. feminism that doesn’t pander. it’s funny, sad, strange and beautiful.

the landscape of teen comedies in this era are abhorrent and built a hateful, nasty and ugly cultural ecosystem. STRIKE! dismantles it and tells em to bite the big one. someone PLEASE get at me so i can shepherd a remaster or blu ray of this super vital movie.
