Why is there more Bi Discourse by monosexuals when will this nightmare end

Your monosexual opinion of bi and pan people is not necessary and you may keep it to yourself

Monosexual queers who hate bi people are defining themselves solely thru their experiences of oppression in an oppressive binary understanding of sexuality

Bisexuals are more disturbing to biphobic Ls & Gs than even straight oppression is

Because we trouble the binary

And they think they need that binary because that's how they define themselves as people who deserve rights and protection from discrimination

The existence of bisexuality means that behavior alone cannot define sexuality and this is frightening to them

Because if you base the definition of sexuality along a strict binary that is determined by behavior only

And then you use that definition as the basis for your quest for protection from harm by the majority

Then having that definition troubled is going to provoke fear

But that definition is old and tired and it doesn't explain A LOT of people's messy experiences in their messy lives

And worst of all it centers queer identity in queer PAIN

We can do better

If queer identity is centered in the necessity of queer suffering and cis hetero discrimination against us...

How can we ever imagine a world where queerphobia is GONE?

We need queer JOY, not a queer community that treats queerness like a club that you have to prove you suffered enough to get into

I -do not want- queer people to suffer. Ever.

Queerness is GOOD.
It's beautiful and pure and wholesome.

The more people who want to identify as queer, the better!!

Queer the whole world!!

I don't want to play this horrible game where if you didn't suffer "enough" you somehow can't really be queer.

If these gatekeeping biphobic queers actually gave a single damn about queer kids who are suffering

they would start organizing to take on the evangelical church and everyone else who is ACTUALLY threatening us.
