Hi. A few days ago, my cousin suffered a stroke and had to go into emergency surgery. It has been a scary time for my family, but luckily she was at the gym when she had her stroke so she was able to receive help right away.

As for the surgery, she did well and is now recovering. The doctors were able to confirm that there was brain damage, but it wasn’t as bad as they initially suspected and is expected to recover with time.

We are extremely grateful for everything. We were waiting patiently and praying. We felt heard and hope that everything goes smoothly with her recovery.

While the surgery was successful, we are worried about the financial burden this will be on my cousin and her family. My mother has started a GoFundMe for my cousin’s medical bills and expenses for recovery.
