If India is admitting this many deaths per day, hard to fathom how bad it is really is there.

Some of my right-wing followers are confused why we would spend money to give India relief: it is called soft-power. For relatively little money, we gain the respect, thanks, and preferred trade status of massive & growing country. It is way more cost-effective than more bombers.

Also, and way more important in this case: we are a rich & great nation that should not sit by idly when masses of people die and we can easily do something to help them.

And, as many in this thread point out: it is in our own interest to avoid massive outbreaks of COVID-19 that can allow new strains to flourish, that our vaccines may not address.
