if you create any sort of content, i hope you don’t mislead your consumers for the sake of impact. i get the want for a “wow” effect, but if the content should have trigger warnings and you don’t put any, that is just extremely irresponsible and unkind. (1/n)
tags help anybody anywhere curate their experience on whatever platform they’re on.

i encourage promoting the ship you like, but please don’t involve people who want to see entirely different types of content. i’m going to be candid and say i’ve been seeing many cheating (2/n)
aus as of late.

now, i don’t condone cheating in any way, shape, or form. that shit is vile and disgusting. but i also don’t control what content other people create, so if they create a cheating au, well shit. that’s on them. (3/n)
what i don’t understand is why creators haven’t been tagging their content properly. i don’t want to see “[ship] falling out of love” when you actually mean “[other ship] cheating”. there should at least be an opportunity for me to decide that for myself. (4/n)
and cheating is not a light subject. when you use it in your content you should consider the impact that has on who gets to consume it, not just in terms of shock value but how literally traumatizing it can be. nobody deserves that kind of unpleasant surprise. (5/n)
if you promote your ship via cheating and decide to tag it with another ship then i think you as a creator also know how dumb it sounds that the reason your ship is getting together is because of something like that. but idk. please think about it or at least TAG PROPERLY. (6/n)
i tried to go about this as objectively as i can so that i don’t upset anybody, so i hope you feel enlightened rather than attacked if you’re part of the cheating au demographic. (7/n)
thanks. this is the reason i reactivated. (8/8)
