I JUST FUCKING REALISED THAT THE STATUE STEPPED OUT OF ITS FRAME IT CAME TO LIFE WHEN SKZ GAVE IT THE RED STONE AKA THE PHILOSPHERS STONE??? THAT GRANTS ETERNAL LIFE?? THEY BROUGHT THE KID BACK TO LIFE BUT SACRIFICED THEMSELVES TO DO IT
the philosophers stone is made here when felix uses jisungs blood to create the stone
seungmin, jisung and changbin are mourning the death of this child, who’s wiping changbin tears away and telling him that it will be okay. they’re bringing flowers to his grave
jeongin lays down with the scene of a clock and a thunderstorm behind him - his mind is racing, an idea is brewing, time is running out
it’s interesting that we see them members bound by the angels. they’re supposed to be a safe guard, a holy symbol. but skz are defying the laws of death, and the angels don’t like that.
they break through into the gates of hell, where they create the stone to bring back the boy.

but they’re getting weaker, and their world is crumbling down around them. the philosophers stone requires a soul sacrifice, and skz have sacrificed themselves
chan places the stone into the statue/grave hands of the boy, and instantly we see the floor of the stage run red

now we’re back where we began
only who is this? snuck up behind, stepped out of his grave and into the world of the living. only to see skz laying there, unable to be saved
the interesting part connecting this to skz lore is, however, this shadow that appears behind changbin when he falls
it’s the boy, but like i said - a shadow. a shadow only reflects.

skz aren’t mourning just another boy. they’re mourning the loss of their childhood, their naivety and innocence. like we know is a strong theme in the skzverse - in their lyrics mourning their past selves,
wondering why they’ve changed, where they’ve gone, how they can get themselves back. gambling in all in but with chocolates. 19 and the spooky vibe of a party, but almost as if they’re mourning something as well - scared of getting older
