I'll share a few key insights from our posted overview in replies here. The larger report is ideal for investors or stakeholders looking to size up the sales of specific models. The blog post covers just a few larger trends/findings. https://twitter.com/droneanalyst/status/1387754792760582151
1) Just looking at the consumer & commercial drone segments, we found the industry delivered $3.5B in hardware last year, up nearly 50% YoY...
2) for many, that will seem low, partially due to us calculating based on revenue to manufacturers. And this graph hides a larger dip we saw in 2018 and 2019. With 2020 recovering and improving on 2017.
3) this is best shown through specific examples, and as we dive into DJI's drone shipments, we saw relatively low 2019 figures and a huge surge going into 2020.
4) We can also see this through the lens of @Parrot, who is in the midst of a large pivot. Data from their financials. @chr1sa has a good thread on this as well here - https://twitter.com/chr1sa/status/1372940973110489088
