There are approx 6k GRC holders (both sexes) in the UK and an estimated trans community of approx 600k. The vast majority of transwomen self identify, most don't take medication, certainly don't have surgery, or change their legal sex. They remain male #HarvieHatesWomen

The law allows for sex discrimination exemptions so that single-sex spaces and activities (some sports, prisons, rape Crisis centres) to exclude one sex, usually male. This applies to trans people who identify as a woman but remain male.

Even if a male obtains a GRC & changes sex marker on birth certificate to female, the Equality Act acknowledges that there may still be situations where a male with a GRC can be excluded from a female space. So once again, when asked about single-sex spaces #HarvieHatesWomen

I am sick of the gaslighting and lies being spread during this campaign by @scottishgreens, and @patrickharvie in particular. They show little regard for sex-based rights or a realistic definition if a woman is, always rushing to discuss trans rights. #HarvieHatesWomen

But, in an attempt to nice to the little lady, the prison authorities thought "well Karen says she is a woman so let's put this convicted paedophile and sex offender in with female prisoners". What could possibly go wrong, eh?

Except, "Karen" assaulted to female prisoners in a "No shit, Sherlock" outcome wr could all have predicted, except it seems the prison authorities and probably @patrickharvie.

Karen is now in the male prison Estate, where he should always have been, not risking vulnerable female prisoners, just for the sake is misunderstanding the single-sex exemptions in the Equality Act, and an over-eagerness to appear nice.

And this example of Karen is used a lot, and not because anyone intended to claim transwomen are sexual predators, but to show that men retain male offending patterns & paedophiles, rapists and sexual offenders have form for abusing the system to get their hands on victims.

Who knows if Karen really has gender dysphoria. Quite honestly, I don't care. Regardless of how he presents, or wanted to be seen, Karen was a danger to society society particularly to women.
