TODAY is the day Enbridge tries AGAIN to get the compressor to function in Weymouth. The last 2 emergency system failures are unexplained. No one who can do anything about protecting us is interested in finding out. So we wait and are forced to endure the effects 1/
2/ What could theoretically be done right now, if we had a Governor who gave a 🐀's arse?
a) direct his agencies work w/ affected municipalities to form a comprehensive set of comments regarding the system failures, public safety, & environmental cost. Hold Enbridge accountable
3/ As you can see from original post, we're already at a pollution deficit due to existing Basin pollution that @MassDEP refused to take into account, w/ cloud cover. When is "enough" enough, DEP? When is it too much? As usual, the EJ community in Germantown is getting the brunt
4/ What else could @MassGovernor @CharlieBakerMA be doing right now?
b) He could direct his agencies (or he could do it himself!) to comment on the FERC paper briefing request docket with an affirmation of cooperation from the state, & express concern for the numerous failures
5/ REMEMBER there is ZERO benefit to MA re: the siting of this compressor. NO REASON for MA to stick up for this dangerous facility other than @CharlieBakerMA wants it here. MA gets NO GAS, & all the danger and pollution.

PS: nevermind Baker's fracker stocks, nothing to see here
7/ Most urgently, @CharlieBakerMA could & should do THIS:
d) Submit a letter to @PHMSA_DOT demanding that they shut this station down until there're definitive answers for last TWO emergency system failures. Critical infrastructure is next to site, doesn't that rate for concern?
8/ Seeing as I'm not a Governor with the full range of options for action at my feet... these are my best guesses as to what @CharlieBakerMA should be, could be doing right now... if he cared AT ALL.

But, after 6 yrs of dealing with him, we know he doesn't care.
For reference, this is what happens to (often invisible) emissions in the Fore River Basin when there is cloud cover or a coastal inversion, which is often: https://twitter.com/grumpygrumpyowl/status/1090261380668612610?s=20
