Of course Boris Johnson is unfit for office, corrupt, a liar and needs to be held to account BUT... is it just me smelling a large dose of misogyny in all this flat refurb outrage?

Huge news coverage, everyone seems to be talking about it, calls to resign etc... 1/

He got away with lying to Parliament, all the horrific things he’s said about minority groups, his ministers corrupt handling of PPE contracts, his ‘bodies pile’ comment, the fact so many people are dead because of his pandemic response, not to mention his disgraceful policies 2/

Yet the most outrage is over this. Is it because people are enjoying calling his partner demanding & high maintenance, and tweeting #CarrieAntoinette?

I’m not saying don’t use this to get him. But can we link it to HIS continued lying, swindling and terrible record please? 3/
