Y'all, I do not know how I got this lucky, but I was invited to participate in a "constituent sentiment analysis survey" by the NSA on their mission and obedience of the rule of law.
I am going to thread the questions here, because they are INCREDIBLE.
First, the survey description. I'm glad the NSA wants my feedback, but given its pervasive role in collecting data on the Internet, the promise of anonymization is HILARIOUS.
I suspect all of this will get summarized by the survey administrators as "doesn't understand the role of the NSA."

But here's where it gets good. I was asked about my understanding of how the NSA follows the rule of law.

My god I could die laughing. What are the benefits of NSA-furnished products? Well, PRISM has resulted in a lots of work for lawyers. And their undermining of key cryptographic standards has led to widespread mistrust, so I guess that's a feature?
I had to step away for a minute, I will return with the final four questions!
There's a gender question. Y'all. I cannot. Non-binary people have made it, the NSA wants our opinions. (In a crossover with @GenderRate, I would give this a 5/10.)
"The NSA is interested in continuing this conversation." Bold of you to assert that when you don't know what I answered yet...
Oh my god, once you submit, it produces the data on who has taken the survey. (No free text responses, just the statistics.)
I am a little confused as to why I can see this information about who else has taken the survey, but I applaud the (uncharacteristic) transparency? And have saved a copy unless they get rid of it later.
I have provided my email address. If they follow up with me to better understand my views on the NSA's respect for the rule of law (
), I will update this thread.

Also if someone nominated me for this, I appreciate you and regret whatever meeting my answers might get you pulled into.
