So I was asked to do an interview with @BBCNews about the pandemic situation in India, along with another researcher based in Bangalore.
The chat was 30 mins long and criticised the BJP govt’s handling of the pandemic.

Today I got a 2 min video which contained none of that. /1
Instead the BBC chose the narrative of 2 people feeling anxious about our family - without making plain WHY we are anxious, WHY my dad has accepted his fate, WHY kids like my brother are finding oxygen supplies for critical patients.

We have no faith in the govt. That’s why. /2
There’s 0 mention of BJP’s handling of the pandemic, the global (lack of) response even or how the health and governance systems have always failed poor people, Dalit and Adivasi people, and migrants.

“Unbiased” journalism functioning as the best PR management. /3
