I& #39;M ONLY HUMAN

Each time I hear that statement, what comes into my mind? Well, all I see are perfect imperfections, flaws and weakness.

Should that statement be a reminder that I& #39;m not perfect and I can never be? https://ibelieve100.wordpress.com/2021/04/29/im-only-human/">https://ibelieve100.wordpress.com/2021/04/2...
Each time I hear that statement, what comes into my mind? Well, all I see are perfect imperfections, flaws and weakness.
Should that statement be a reminder that I& #39;m not perfect and I can never be? Hmm, the latter is quite controversial but what did my Lord say? "Be ye perfect as your Father which is in heaven is perfect " (Matt 5:48)
I& #39;ve been veiled by my innumerable flaws. My sins have made me question my faith. Is it really true that I can be so perfect? For the above command that Jesus gave shows that there& #39;s a possibility.
I& #39;ve tried to stand, walk, run, fly and be so consistent at all cost but I often find myself not doing them as I should or at least used to.

My imperfections aren& #39;t just about my wrongdoings but majorly on the good I never do or do inconsistently as I ought to.
Oh! I remember what His Majesty said "Not by power nor by might but by My Spirit… " (Zech 4:6). So how do I act on this? Coz I& #39;ve prayed, studied, fasted and do gas out at a point. Could it be I was engaging them in the flesh?
At least I can get a consolation from the words of the wisest king that ever lived: "a just man faileth seven times and raiseth up… " (Prov 24:16a).
Hmm, so does this mean that during the period that i& #39;m falling, I should feel relaxed believing that I& #39;ll rise again someday? That& #39;s ridiculous; of course not. I believe that should be when Isaiah 40:31 shows up, waiting on Him.
So what i& #39;m saying is this: in my own perspective, & #39;I& #39;m only human& #39; is a statement not to feel relaxed in your flaws and imperfections but to know that by your strength alone, perfection is impossible. For it& #39;s by grace and not by works. Shalom
