Freelancers in this country already suffer from the mental war of impostor syndrome.
So, when you meet clients abroad that do an outstanding job at reminding you...
How much of a fraud they perceive you to be.
There is no shittier way to start your day.

You’d think your 9-5 is bad.
But, starting out fresh as a Freelancer with no credibility.

So, my message to anyone like me. That’s just starting out:
1.Don’t create an habit of blaming other people for your struggles. It’s nobody fault!
Take your loss, learn from it and move on my gee.

2. Do an in-depth research on the client and the product before reaching out to anyone.
This people are not stupid. If you are not well prepared or if you are full of bull shit.
They would know.
Don’t set yourself up to fail before trying.

3.Unless you are reaching out via email.
Don’t reach out to anyone on a platform you don’t have some form of credibility in.
Make sure that platform properly shows them what you do.
They already think you are shady.
Don’t make it harder for them to trust you.

To summarise:
1. It’s nobody’s fault but yours.
2. Do your research.
3.Have something that shows what you do on a platform before using it as a means to reach out.
My last words.... to myself not you....

Your time will come.
ces’t tout.
