since my last thread got deleted I figured I would do a new, and updated, thread about all things

LUBE

there is absolutely a jungle out there when it comes to lube, and it can be a little disorienting. so here is a quick little run down of a heap of it, so you can go forward with more knowledge
first off the bat: lube an amazing sexual aid, and has many purposes. you can use it vaginally, anally and on your sexy bits. lube will reduce friction, and can give more moisture to those of us who need a little extra
we have four general types of lube: water-based, silicone, hybrid and oil. all of these will have "subgenres" within them as well. like with most things, what works for you would not necessarily work for others. there is a little bit of trial and error and listening to your body
water-based lube is probably the most common lube. water-based lube is doesnt stain and it absorbs into the skin. however, this also means it is not as long lasting as other lubes which means it isnt great for eg analplay. this lube is safe to use with condoms and toys
if you have a vagina, water-based lube is generally whats preferred here. however, keep an eye out on the ingredients list. because the vagina has a pretty delicate ph balance, some ingredients can lead to thrush, uti's and other vaginal issues
glycerin adds moisture, but also breaks down as sugars in the vagina, which means you can get thrush after using lubes with glycerin. if you are prone to yeast infections, you should probably stay clear of lubes with glycerin (you can get water-based lubes without it!)
silicone lube is the longest lasting lube. it does not absorb into the skin, which means it's exceptionally great for analplay. however, silicone will stain and is not safe to use with silicone toys. similar to water-based lube, it is also condom safe
since silicone doesnt absorb into the skin I would not recommend it for vaginas as it can upset the delicate ph balance. if you’re into fisting, thick water-based lubes specifically made for fisting would be best
if you want a longer lasting glide, but doesnt want to use silicone lube, let me recommend hybrid!!! hybrids are water-based with some silicone in it to leave it less sticky and make it a little longer lasting than water-based lube
hybrids are condom safe, toy safe, doesnt stain sheets and clothes and is a great all rounder. because its a little longer lasting, this lube is perfect for anal silicone toys. if you are after just one type of lube to cover vaginal, anal and self play, this is your best bet
however, as mentioned, silicone can upset the vaginal ph balance, so even though it only has small amounts of silicone in it, there are many whom this would still be irritating
oil-based lube is used by many, especially for anal sex as it is creates great glide. it is also said to be better for esp dry vaginas. I would however advise against oil-based lubes as they will upset internal ph balances and greate an environment for bacterial growth
furthermore, oil-based lubes will ruin sex toys and are absolutely not condom safe
now, each of these main types of lube also come with certain attributes. some come with flavour, some with relaxing agents, others with heating or cooling effects
flavoured lube is great for oral sex, but can also be used if for example you are sensitive to smells, or anxious about receiving oral sex. most flavoured lubes are water-based, and with flavour you get extra sweetness which will make your vagina hate you. keep it on the outside
you should be careful with relaxing lube. some will use natural relaxants, where others will have some numbing ingredients in them. the reason I say be careful with these, is that they are often used with anal play
if this is your first time trying anal, and you have angst about it, relaxing lube can seem like a good idea. however, if they numb the area, you might not feel it if you tear. I recommend a good warm up, communication and feeling relaxed before giving it a go
additionally, numbing lube without a condom will also numb the penis, which means you will reduce the feeling and as such, the pleasure for you
lube with heating attributes are great for when you are masturbating! if you use fleshlights, a heap of warming lube will make the experience much better. but they can also be used with a regular hand job as well to take it up a notch
as previously mentioned, you can get 'act' specific lubes, such as lube for fisting. you can also get lube that you mix yourself to get the thickness that works perfectly for you. some are also made to look like cum. there's all kinds of lube out there!
if you have any more questions about lube my dms are always open!!
I hope this has been educational, and for those who generally dont use lube, I hope this has made you consider it
