The first generative artist I have ever heard about was @JoshuaDavis, around~2003. A friend of mine mentioned it to me. He said he& #39;s the guy from photoshop lolhttps://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😅" title="Lächelndes Gesicht mit offenem Mund und Angstschweiß" aria-label="Emoji: Lächelndes Gesicht mit offenem Mund und Angstschweiß">. I didn& #39;t know who he was. Since then every time I opened Ps I could not not see his name in the list of designers.
Who& #39;s the first generative artist you ever heard about? #generative #generativeart #hicetnunc #hicetnunc2000 #digitalart #computational
At that time I wasn& #39;t into coding or generative art. Mostly into #animation, #video, #experimental electronic music and other things. I did some little coding in flash but that was it. (The thread continues...)
The First generative artist that actually got my attention was Jared Tarbell. Here& #39;s an article about his work "Jared Tarbell& #39;s online generative art | Rhizome" https://rhizome.org/community/34280/">https://rhizome.org/community... on @rhizome
And this is the piece by Tarbell that really got me thinking:" how the hell did he do that??" #generativeart #creativecoding #NFTs #generative

Let& #39;s continue this thread. The book that started me with #generativeart was this by Matt Pearson. It is probably the best introduction I& #39;ve found so far. I didn& #39;t start with this straight away. Before @ProcessingOrg I was tinkering with #Flash and #Actionscript (To be continued)
