The gallant armed forces
(A thread)
It's difficult to leave your home at the age of 18, its difficult to wake up at 0300 hours and attend the zero period, it hurts when you bang your feet in drill, Yes it hurts when you are on chest in front of CSM, it hurts when you break ice with your own bare hands in -10°C
it hard to change cloths in just 3 min and report back to staff, it's hard to leave your warm bed at 0545 hours for morning punishment in winter, it's difficult to go daily for night punishment in GC in a freezing weather and do front rolls there. Everything you do is monitored.
it's hard to see your comrade getting martyrdom in front of your own eyes, it's not easy to spend your day without getting ERC from staff, it's not easy for 1st term cadets to sleep and eat for at least 3 months, it's very difficult to count 730 days stay in PMA.
3 hours sleep becomes your second habit, you are now used to the harsh weather. it freezes your mind when you go for PT and PT J announces "1 round good warm up, 1 mile practice, jo sab mile fail kareinge seedha dip par jainge, carry on staff".
It's heartening to see that your having a course punishment because you have a relegation or a withdrawn of your course in daily orders. it's heartening to do front rolls in GC office when your a fourth termer. it's difficult to take a dip before every firing practice.
it's hard to face punches on your nose in the boxing ring. it's hard to march 150kms in Yarmook just in 4 days, it's hard to march 200kms in TM riders just in 4 days. It's a tough job to dig trenches by yourself in Ex khandaq Pani pat.
it's hard to run 5 miles with a small pack filled on PMA road in 42 mins, run 14 miles with a rifle and big pack in 2 hours 30 mins. One single mistake and your gone for a six, everything you do gets monitored
it's hard to see your comrade getting relegated or withdrawn just 10 days before passing out and you march in RDS with them, but it's very easy to talk on social media and troll the men in boots. ~ PMA
