I have a cat that needs a cardiologist, a cat with a neuro disorder that just worsened and our dog has 2 lumps. I’m not prepared for worst case scenarios and it’s MY JOB to treat all of these issues. So if you’re struggling with your pets’ medical care I hear you/send you love

For context, my cat needs a cardio work up after being on diuretic fluids after 2 urinary obstructions and an emergency PU surgery after the cardiac concerns developed and we ran out of time to treat the underlying cause of the UOs. We now worry there is permanent damage....
That could develop into a deadly, painful condition. Managing it medically now could extend good quality of life, so we have an appt with a boarded cardiologist. He is 5 years old.....
Our neuro cat has a virtually assumed undiagnosable condition. Presented like cerebellar hypoplasia but isn’t. Only way to fully diagnose is a/ brain/spine MRI under general anesthesia that historically worsens the condition, so we leave it alone and manage medically.....
But now the symptoms are worse and we need to consider quality of life and treatment, which could include invasive brain/spinal surgery. He’s 4 years old.
And our dog is a pitbull, prone to mast cell tumors which are prone to metastasizing in deadly and painful ways. We have to take very little bump seriously because it could be an external sign of much more serious disease. He’s 11.
