Between the death of Alexander McQueen and his fictional counterpart

This thread is for informational purposes only. I mean no disrespect to Alexander McQueen or Hirohiko Araki. Trigger warnings listed above, viewers discretion is advised.
Lee Alexander McQueen was a British Fashion Designer born in 1969. He had a notable role in high fashion and was praised for his unique taste and imaginative pieces about religion and the afterlife.

At the height of his career in 2010, McQueen passed away from suicide. His cause of death was determined to be asphyxiation from hanging. On February 11th 2010, his house keeper found him hanged at his home in Green Street, London.

After his death, McQueen’s psychologist revealed that he had been suffering from anxiety and depressive disorder for the past 3 years.
The 6th Part of JJBA 2001 takes place during 2010 in Green Dolphin St Prison. In Stone Ocean, a character exists based on Alexander McQueen named “Thunder McQueen”. During his first appearance, the character attempts suicide by hanging and talks about struggling with depression.
In the past fans has claimed that Hirohiko Araki predicted the 9/11 tragedy in Part 3 Stardust Crusaders. However Araki has stated that this is purely a coincidence.
Written a decade before the death of Alexander McQueen, Stone Ocean’s depiction of the fictional character was not inspired by the late fashion designer. Similarities are also purely coincidences.
In writing this thread I’d like to educate people on this topic and to remind everyone to please be respectful. When Part 3 gained popularity fans jokingly called 9/11 a “JoJo reference”. Please don’t call real life tragedies a “JoJo reference”.
Alexander McQueen’s work still inspires many people around the world today including myself. I hope his name continues to remain alive beyond his grave and we can celebrate him for his life.
