Federal funding for universal child care in AB:

1. All licensed spaces are included. It is not just for not-for-profit spaces.

2. Alberta will not be required to put in any money. Your taxes will not go up (at least for this).

3. Child care is not institutionalized care.

4. Tax credits do NOT ensure:
-quality
-educator remuneration
-spaces in underserved areas

5. The Feds will have reasonable stipulations but are looking for collaborative bi-lateral agreements. The UCP are preemptively picking a fight based on nothing.

6. AB women have seen the largest drop in workforce participation from the pandemic. The whole country needs this but like we REALLY need it.

7. Forgoing a life changing (for women and children in particular) program because you don’t like Trudeau, is asinine.
