A thread on Manusmriti !!
Traditional Hindus,Historians (both left and right) all are aware that Manusmriti is considered as a very high authority in Hindu society since the time immemorial.

Bunch of tiny Poltical orgs trying to kencill" it ,holds no value.

Manusmriti was not only limited to Bharat but other parts of the world too many kings translated it or implied similar rules, it was greatly honored in Burma,Thailand Cambodia and (Indonesia)
{Southeast Asia in the Age of Commerce, p 137-138}

Authority to manusmriti is given by vedas,puranas,itihasa and other smritis too.
In Yajurveda, Taittariya samhita:-
यद्वै किञ्ज्ञ मनुरवदत् तद् भेषजम् (Krishna yajurveda/Taittariya samhita/2/2/10/2)
Whatever manu has said is medicine।

In samveda,pachavimsha brahmana
मनुः यत् किज्ञावदत् तत् भैषज्यायै(tandyabrahmana 23/16/17) same thing is said

Vedas are calling Manu vachnas as "Medicine",Neo Dindus or Anarya namazis are modifying or cancelling it.
Medicines are sour anyways

In ramayana,after bali vadh bhagvan ram said two shlokas to Bali while quoting manu as श्रूयते मनुना गीतौ (वा० रा०4/18/31) these two shlokas were These two are found in manusmriti chapter 8 verse 318 and 316।।

We want Ramrajya vroo,not manusmriti

In Mahabharata ashvamedhik parva(southern recension chap 98, gitapress recension chap 96) Manusmritis authority is described

भारतं मानवो धर्मो वेदाः साङ्गाश्चिकित्सितम् ।
आज्ञासिद्धानि चत्वारि न हन्तव्यानि हेतुभिः ।।(mahabharata/14/96/72)

Another place in shanti parva when yuddhishthira asked about what should be eaten what not,Bhisma spoke out the rules of Manu
भगवान् मनुः स्वायम्भुवोऽब्रवीत् ' ( शान्तिपर्व ३६.५ )
many things said by manu are quoted as:-

People having doubt whether Parashara is more valid or manu,see this

And yes

What "Vishuddh" means in arya samaj:-)1) removing anything that's hard to understand or explain। (2) anything that is doesn't match satyarth prakash ,Pseudo vedic principles or population gaining tactics।।।
