I turned 45 yo today, likely past the halfway point.

A few professional lessons (no platitudes) I’ve learned if you’ll indulge me. I’m a work in progress for sure!

-Remember how to have fun
-Set goals
-Say nice things out loud
-Be trustworthy
-Back up your teammates

-Lead from the front & eat last
-Allow your mind to be changed
-Give people compliments
-Understand your negative emotions & deal with them effectively
-Try not to compare yourself to others
-Know your institution will never love you back

-Volunteerism is important but isn’t a default setting
-Know your Fair Market Value
-Ask for help
-Read good books
-Step into tension
-Use your megaphone

And finally...stay PLURIPOTENT!
