After push by right-wing reps, the European Parliament will debate whether to take action against Bolivia for the detention of Añez. Main force is the fascistic VOX party of Spain. It's agitprop - and useless – Bolivia may take action against the EU instead. https://twitter.com/LosTiemposBol/status/1387564757595693056
One of the Czechs in the EU Parliament also riled up about Añez' detention. Not surprising. There's that weird think tank in Prague tied to the faux HR org and the faux environmental org who backed the coup. https://twitter.com/charanzova/status/1387741190393634821
And for some context from the other side, it's worth a listen to Yanis Varoufakis shedding light on what's going on in the EU Parliament, re: Bolivia https://twitter.com/WiphalasW/status/1387434578030206976
Yanis: "The bankers are internationalists...so are the fascists."
Also Yanis: Sanction Añez, yes, but the anarchist in me says a custodial [prison] sentence is not the answer. I don't like prisons anywhere, even for those guilty of massacres.

Radical perspective.
And on the amendments, they were proposed by the left, but did not pass, here's one:
#Bolivia vs #EU
Heres #2 amendment proposed by the EU Left, did not pass, but worth a read:
#Bolivia
Here's #3, trying to get the language changed on the narrative of the coup, also proposed by the left, also did not pass
Here's #4. This is a good one, condemning the imperialist strategy and the Monroe Doctrine. #Bolivia vs #EU
And here's #5. At least there was pushback. source: https://www.europarl.europa.eu/doceo/document/RC-9-2021-0244-AM-001-005_EN.pdf
OK, I think I've got it sorted out now. The right wing in the European Parliament managed to push through a resolution combining three proposed by their factions. The left had radically different resolutions, all tabled. The left proposed several amendments, all defeated.
Never really cared what the EU parliament did, but fell into this rabbit hole this morning.

If anybody has a student who wants to write an analysis of the crafting of political language, six versions came down to two, and one passed. One of the right wing resolutions even referred to paramilitary gang leader of UJC as a political prisoner. That did not go through.
Here are the final two joint resolutions that were competing (left vs right). The left is about justice for the victims, human rights, and support for Bolivia's democratic return. The right is all about Añez, anti-Evo, and the EU (initial read). Knock yourself out:
