Jamaal Bowman’s “Whirlwind Moment”

Jamaal Bowman and Justice Democrats ran a Momentum op on Eliot Engel in the 2020 primary. They manufactured an alleged “gaffe” by Engel and they were prepared to pounce on it with a coordinated smear campaign.

And then they confessed...

On June 2, 2020, at a news conference following civil unrest in NYC, Engel asked to speak and was turned down. He was caught on a hot mic saying “if I didn't have a primary, I wouldn't care,” meaning he wouldn’t care about speaking, not that he wouldn’t care about the unrest.

Justice Democrats were ready to pounce. You see, Justice Democrats were spawned from and trained by the Momentum training institute. Here’s a picture of Justice Democrats receiving training from Momentum:

Why is this important? Well, because one of the things Momentum teaches is how to capitalize on a “whirlwind moment,” and Justice Democrats was prepared to convert Engel’s benign statement into a whirlwind moment.

How do we know Justice Democrats treated the Engel hot mic moment as what Mometum describes as a “whirlwind moment”? Well, I was gobsmacked to find this today, but Justice Democrats’ Campaigns Director literally admitted it right here, even describing it as a “whirlwind moment”

Wait till you see what Justice Democrats did to capitalize on this manufactured whirlwind.

Within approximately 24 hours, the entire Justice Democrats network of operatives, including candidates, members of Congress, and affiliated organizations pounced, as shown here

Just imagine the amount of coordination that went into getting all of those people to make all of those clearly coordinated attacks on Engel in such a short period of time! That’s what a Momentum operation looks like, folks.

Justice Democrats managed to turn a completely innocuous comment by Engel into a “whirlwind moment” that brought down Engel and gifted his seat to Jamaal Bowman.

This is more than a dirty trick. This is disgustingly cynical and disingenuous behavior, even for Justice Democrats.
