I rarely tweet about personal things. However, circumstances necessitate it now. I have three children. My two sons have Autism, and my daughter has Epilepsy. I have raised them to be brave, strong, and independent people. They self-advocate, but to the detriment of no one.

I have never asked for, nor expected, help with my children. We fight our battles privately, as it should be. As our lives are much different than the lives of others, we have one simple request of everyone: allow us to live our lives autonomously, per our needs.

@GovMikeDeWine’s mandates have stripped my children of their education, social learning, vocational programs, and personal rights, as respect of their autonomy is not considered, anymore. We’ve sacrificed and suffered A LOT for “others” during this time of absolute lunacy.

Now, @GovMikeDeWine is encouraging “others” to DISCRIMINATE against MY CHILDREN, as we do not want the vaccine. No reason necessary: we don’t want it. So, my children, whose life trajectories have been altered to accommodate “others”, are now the victims of unfounded bigotry.

@GovMikeDeWine has done more to harm my children, from his self-proclaimed pulpit of “power”, than has anyone we’ve met, thus far. We’ve surrendered EVERYTHING for “others.”Now “others” are being encouraged to view MY CHILDREN as a target: a personification of their fear & anger.

If “others” cannot see the sacrifices we have made for them, appreciate them, and let us reclaim normalcy, DAMN THEM. We need to work on repairing the collateral damage this year has wrought on OUR lives. We are done sacrificing for “others,” who are never satisfied.

I have never been a proponent of litigation to solve every perceived injustice. However, this travesty and perverse tolerated bigotry @GovMikeDeWine is proposing needs to be fought. If his encouragement of discrimination against my children continues, I will demand legal redress.
