the video is about the limitations of human reasoning, but it's also about how the reason the climate crisis hasn't been solved yet is specifically because humans are bad at logical reasoning

wow vsauce is that how it is for everyone. do all humans have the ability to intuit people's emotions subconsciously like that. what a cool universal statement about the way perception works

like I probably *should* be more upset about the "the solution to climate change is for humans to just Get Better at thinking about things (as opposed to any concrete solutions)" part. but dang mike did you pass this script by a single neurodivergent person

another bit that stuck out, he's describing an experiment where you present people with two choices and then later ask why they made the choice they made but the choice you tell them they made isn't what they actually picked. and I sure would like to read those "other studies"!

what are the parameters of this experiment? how did they present the questions? how did the "nearly half" of participants justify the political beliefs they do not hold?
