posting this bc there was quite a bit of confusion about this product a while ago:

this keypad made specifically for Procreate shortcuts circulated on twitter for a bit, and it was rumored to be a scam… but I'm happy to report that mine came today! turns out it's very real! 🌞
this thing is called the Procreate Shortcut Keypad and is made by a company called Aoiktye!

I'm not in any way affiliated either with procreate or the company that made this thing, I'm just one of the people who bought it! please don't expect any inside information from me lol
first things first: I've only been using it for one evening, but so far it works PERFECTLY! it's very cute, and does exactly what it advertised. procreate often struggles to register gestures for me, so this is honestly a life-saver for me… I'm really happy I got it!
the keypad is wireless and connects with bluetooth. it lets you undo/redo, change between brush and eraser, transform, pick and change colors, etc etc with the press of a physical button!

(note that it's made for procreate specifically, so it might not work with other programs!)
you can see it in action here! this is the promo video that the company released, but the keypad that I have in my hands has been working just as smoothly for me! https://twitter.com/Eric_Strive/status/1379386130349621248?s=20
as for the confusion about whether this was a real product or not: as far as I can tell, people who ordered it first started to think it was a scam because their orders took so long to be sent out……… because they hadn't realized that it was a PREORDER item when they bought it
then the company website started looking strange and suspicious, and not showing the same items as before… this is what made /me/ think it may have been a scam after all

BUT it seems what happened was just that the company had to rebrand & make a new website during production
THEN the official Procreate twitter account tweeted that the product was fake because "the people who ordered it never received it" (which again is because it was a preorder item and hadn't been manufactured yet) BUT they later deleted the warning and apologized for the mistake!
so yeah, all in all… when I bought it, the company that sold the keypad was called Heypd, but they're now called AOIKTYE. and as far as I can tell this keypad is a really neat and useful tool for procreate artists! I know I'll be using mine a lot!
I just wanted to share this because a lot of artists were talking about it earlier, and neither of us knew what to think. now I can confidently say I got the item I ordered & it seems just fine! LOL
again I AM NOT affiliated with any of the companies mentioned 😅

I just wanted to make this thread because a lot of people (me included) had reason to be very skeptical of this thing for a while, and I don't want artists to miss out on a helpful tool bc of a misunderstanding!
I wanna add that this thing works just the same way a regular wireless keyboard does! procreate has built-in shortcuts that correspond to letter keys (like B for Brush). so basically all that this specific keypad does is put the most useful ones together in a more compact tool!
depending on your drawing habits, this might seem completely superfluous to some people. personally, I don't like moving the pen from where I'm drawing, so I use gestures and shortcuts a lot with my other hand. ie: this keypad is super useful for me and suits the way I work!
that's all a matter of taste!

BUT I will say: the icons on procreate's interface are very small and easy to miss, and half of the time the program doesn't register it when I use gestures. I think the big ol' buttons on this keypad make procreate more accessible and easy to use!
I think I'm gonna mute this thread now, but I hope it was helpful to some people ~~

stay hydrated and get vaccinated if you can! cheers! 💛
