Last time I made this suggestion on this here website, I got some pushback. But I still think it’s a good suggestion, so here goes

If you have opinions about land use and planning issues here in Durham, whether it’s about a specific upcoming case or more generally, please email the Durham City Council at [email protected] and share your criticism, praise, ideas and condemnations. It makes a difference!
Most council members are not active on Twitter, so they will not see the perspectives you share here. The easiest way to get your thoughts before the council is by emailing [email protected].
Also, if emailing the entire council isn’t your thing, that’s cool — feel free to DM me here to set up a one-on-one conversation with me via Twitter DMs, email, phone, Zoom, or in-person. If I need to bring planning staff along, I’m happy to do that.
I look forward to hearing from you, even if it’s to tell me I’m doing a horrible job. That’s one of the most important ways I can improve how I’m doing.

Okay, that’s it. That’s the thread. /end
PS — So apparently this thread came across as complaining about being asked questions on Twitter, and I’m really sorry about that. Definitely not my intent, I promise. I’ll try to do better. đŸ‘đŸ»
