yo here we go! BKDK mythical/solar-system au entitled "the Sun and his beloved Earth" part 1!
---
He was born of dust and ice colliding, sparks kindling into a magnificent explosion that filled his corner of the universe with light and warmth.

(see replies below for full story)
Known by many names--Apollo, Ra, Surya, Amaterasu--but he called himself Katsuki, the victorious Sun, a proud star ruling his very own galaxy.

In the beginning, he was alone, not strong enough to pull anything into his orbit.
But even as a fledging ball of gas, Katsuki had big dreams, and he looked to his older siblings in the neighboring galaxies, jealous of their brightness, determined to surpass them all.
So he grew and grew, the explosions at his core becoming hotter, hungrier; soon the space around him began to shift, drawing rocks into his orbit.

But Katsuki wasn't satisfied with just that. He wanted /worlds/ at his disposal, wanted planets and their moons to bend to his will.
So the sun continued to burn.

Time passed in lightyears until finally, the first of his subjects appeared.

She was a small, wily thing that buzzed excitedly around Katsuki. Mercury, they called her, but to the Sun she was Eri, his favored, the one he'll keep closest to protect.
Soon followed another: Mina or /Venus/ as she was hence named, the evening star, a poisonous beauty whose acid rains burn more painfully than Katsuki's fire.

She was bubbly with a penchant for drama & gossip, luring comets & passing asteroids to spill tales from distant stars.
Then there came the third planet. A slab of rock with molten lava at its core. He was unremarkable at first--completely barren and useless.

And he wouldn't stop bugging Katsuki, calling out "Kacchan! Kacchan!" over and over. The Sun grit his teeth and wished to cast him out.
He dubbed him "Deku" for his uselessness & tried his best to ignore the annoying shit, moving to focus on the other new additions to his galaxy.

Eijirou--Mars--followed as the fourth, impressive with his two moons & blood-red surface. He was easygoing despite his appearance.
Then came Jupiter, the biggest planet he's ever seen, lightning crackling across its stormy surface. And yet the closer you look, the more you'll see that he was made mainly of gas & a small solid core.

This airheaded dolt introduced himself as Denki, flashing an idiotic grin.
Saturn or /Momo/ as she insisted to be called, was almost as big as Denki, but she had way more substance, her beautiful rings envied by neighboring galaxies.

She was perhaps, the most level-headed and smartest among his planets, and Katsuki would seek her counsel constantly.
Others followed: Sero, Neptune, was as chill and relaxed as his watery surface, lazily revolving around the Sun, and sometimes crossing orbits with Shoto, Uranus, the ice giant and Katsuki's least favorite, one he hated even more than useless Deku.

At least he was far far away.
And lastly, there was that rock loitering at the edges of his domain, too small and silent to be considered a planet, barely caught in the pull of Katsuki's gravity.

Pluto, he was supposedly called, but according to Mina's asteroid informants, his real name was Shinso.
Katsuki spent his time pushing the explosions at his core to grow stronger, determined to become the biggest star there is. Solar flares littered his surface, radiating warmth across deep space.

And yet, out of all his subjects, only Deku reacted positively to his growing light.
It began with the crust of his planet stabilizing, the magma quieting underneath. The change affected his atmosphere, making the first rain clouds form and spill water into the carved out basins of Deku's surface.

"Kacchan, look!" the planet called excitedly. "I have oceans!"
Katsuki didn't think much about it, but he did appreciate the beautiful blue shade reflected by the water. It covered more than half of the planet and made Deku look... /better./ Still useless and annoying, but definitely easier on the eyes.

But then, the first Spring arrived.
It began w/ a sprout breaking through the topsoil. A green, flimsy thing, yet Deku displayed it w/ great pride.

"What the fuck is that?" Katsuki frowned. It was nothing like he'd ever seen before.

"It's called 'life,' Kacchan," Deku replied, eyes shining. "I can produce life!"
From there, more and more of this "life" stuff bloomed over the remaining land above water. Katsuki noticed how Deku's initially coal-black curls began to reflect the green surface, and those previously dull grey eyes shifted to into a brilliant emerald hue.

He was beautiful.
Soon, the Sun found himself spending more time with Deku than he'd ever done in the last billion years.

Together, they explored the forests and gardens nurtured by Deku's fertile womb. And the longer Deku basked in Katsuki's light, the more his appearance changed.
"What the heck are these?" Katsuki poked one of those chubby cheeks, pinching it as he inspected the tiny dots scattered over the smooth skin.

"Oh!" Deku laughed, batting his hand away. "These are from you, Kacchan."

"Me?"

The green planet hummed. "My sun-begotten freckles."
The freckles generously adorned the expanse of Deku's body, giving depth to his beauty the same way his siblings crafted constellations in deep space.

Katsuki felt something strange stir at his core, an uncanny urge to claim this planet who was once a mere pebble in his galaxy.
The more time he spent with Deku, the stronger this urge grew. He was drawn to the way the planet smiled lovingly at every fresh sprout, how he cooed and sang to coax the buds into a full bloom, how he chattered endlessly, naming every plant that appeared on his surface.
He was there the first time Death came for Deku's creation. It was a concept foreign to Katsuki as a being as timeless as the Sun, & yet the pain in Deku's tears as he mourned the loss of his children made Katsuki abandon all reservations & pull the weeping planet into his arms.
"It's okay," he whispered against those curls, rubbing soothing circles on the other planet's back. "It's going to be okay. We'll make new ones grow in their place. I'll give them plenty of light so they become just as big & strong as before."

Wet green eyes look up. "Promise?"
Katsuki ruffled his hair with a grin. "I don't say shit I don't mean. Now c'mon, nerd, you've got enough water in your oceans. Can't have you flooding the damn planet with your dumb tears."

Deku sniffed. "Thank you, Kacchan," he smiled, gazing up at him with so much adoration.
The Sun felt his core split wide open, his chest fluttering at the release of emotions he had no idea he even had.

There was something furiously /beating/ inside him, growing faster at the sight of green eyes & freckled skin.

It was new. It was frightening. It was exhilarating

Bewildered over these strange feelings, Katsuki traveled to Momo's domain.

The lady of the rings greeted him with a curtsy. "What can I do for you, Sun god?"

"This," he pointed at his chest. "There is something wrong with it."

"Wrong?"
"There is a tumor inside, beating like crazy," Katsuki huffed, running hands through his hair.

"A tumor?" Momo frowned. "Aren't you talking about your heart?"

"My what?"

"Your heart," the planet enunciated slowly, struggling to hold back an amused smile.

"I don't have one."
"We all do."

"Well, I'm fucking different," Katsuki parried back stubbornly. "I was born without a heart. My core could only burn; it does not beat. This is the first time shit like this happened to me."

"Hmm," Momo hummed, thoughtful. "May I know what triggered it?"
Green eyes & freckled skin flashed across his mind but he shook the thoughts away. "Nothing," he lied, feeling his own cheeks burn with heat unrelated to his flames.

Momo gave him a knowing look. "As a mere planet, I will not pretend to know how it works for stars," she started.
"But you are still a being with sentience, are you not? It is my personal belief that all those who are free to think are also free to love."

"Love?" Katsuki rolled the foreign word around on his tongue and grimaced. "The fuck is that?"
The ringed planet smiled. "That is something better experienced than explained," she replied sagely.

"For you to know what love is, I advise you to remain as close to whatever or" she cleared her throat "/Whoever/ awakened your heart. May it lead you to the answers you seek."
Katsuki considered her words. Perhaps there was merit in investigating these new sensations further. And he agreed that the only way to do so was to spend more time w/ the person who started it all

"Oi, Deku."

The green planet looked up from the bed of tulips he was tending to.
His face split into a blinding smile. "Oh, hello Kacchan! I'm glad you dropped by!" He gestured at the flowers. "I made these for you!"

Katsuki looked down at the vibrant orange tulips that immediately reacted to his presence, their thin stems bending towards the sunlight.
"You said you liked to see this color!" Deku chirped, hands gently caressing buds that bloomed at his touch. "So I made an entire new subspecies, just for you!"

The Sun placed a hand over his chest. There it was again. That rapid beating against the cage of his immortal ribs.
"Uh," Katsuki grappled for something to say. "That's fucking neat, I guess?"

Deku beamed. "I'm going to make orange variations of more flowers in my domain!" He declared before falling into a muttering spree as he began to brainstorm on which species he was going to target next.
"Shit, nerd, calm the fuck down," Katsuki huffed, pinching Deku's side & making him squeal.

Both settled on the grass, a comfortable silence forming between them. They watched the clouds float by while listening to the rustle of leaves & the crash of waves from a distant shore.
When Deku's hand accidentally brushed against his, the beating in Katsuki's chest stuttered and grew wilder.

"Hey nerd."

"Yes, Kacchan?"

"Do you know what love is?"

"Love?"

"Yeah."

The planet hummed. "I think so," he answered, and placed a hand over his own chest.
"I don't know how but I /feel/ differently sometimes, and my heart begins acting strangely."

Katsuki sat up. "You have a heart?"

Deku looked confused. "Yes? Don't you?"

"Can I," The Sun licked his lips. "Can I hear it?"
The smaller man paused & for a second, Katsuki feared that he would refuse. But then Deku spread out his arms beckoningly.

"Come here, Kacchan," and the Sun didn't waste a second before bridging the gap between them, setting his head over the planet's bare, freckled chest.
He closed his eyes & listened.

"Why the hell is it beating so fast?" he murmured, feeling oddly sedated by the rhythmic sound.

"I don't know," Deku whispered back, running his fingers through the Sun's hair & making him purr contentedly. "It always does that when I'm with you."
Katsuki's eyes snapped open and raised his face to meet serene green ones already looking back at him.

"Really?"

The planet hummed and nodded.

Katsuki's mind raced. "Does that mean you love me?"

Deku smiled shyly, a soft pink blush on his cheeks.

"I think I do."
The Sun's breath hitched & he swallowed against the sudden dryness in his throat. Hands moved to cup the planet's face, gently stroking the crest of his cheekbones.

"I think I do too," he confessed, watching Deku's eyes widen, the gleam in those evergreen orbs shining through.
"I didn't even know I had a heart until you started it up," he added, taking Deku's wrist & guiding his hand to press against Katsuki's chest.

The planet gasped. "It's beating so quickly!"

He snorted. "Well, that's your fault, stupid nerd. It goes crazy whenever you're around."
To his shock (and mild horror), Deku started bawling.

"The fuck?"

"I-I'm s-sorry," he stammered in between sobs, thick blobs of tears running down his face.

"What's wrong with you now?" Katsuki groused, a little panicked. "Did I say something weird?"
"N-No!" Deku protested. "It's just...I never imagined Kacchan ever loving me back. I thought you hated me."

The Sun god sighed and pulled the crying planet into his arms. "Maybe I did." Deku stiffened. "But I don't hate you /now,/" he quickly amended.

Deku sniffed. "Really?"
Katsuki rolled his eyes and planted a kiss on top of the planet's head while breathing in Deku's unique musk: an odd but addicting combination of fresh flowers, the salty sea breeze, and petrichor or that pleasant smell of damp grass after rain.

The scent of life itself.
"Yeah," he replied softly, arms tightening around the other man. "Really."

Deku giggled wetly and nuzzled further into Katsuki's neck, leaving soft, nipping kisses at the crook of his jaw. The Sun god shivered from an entirely new sensation.

"Deku," he groaned.
The planet suddenly pulled back, mortified. "Sorry!" He squeaked, cradling his face. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to do that! I've been holding back for so long, I lost control! Please don't get mad, I--"

But Katsuki pried his hands off and silenced him with a deep, searing kiss.
It was an otherworldly sensation. The feel of their lips slotting into each other, tongues dancing, led to an exhilaration much like what he felt the day his consciousness sparked into existence: where the universe poured into his head and filled him with clarity, with /purpose./
Kissing Deku was like being reborn.

He felt their hearts beat in sync, their identical, burning cores erupting w/ joy & relief. An earthquake shook the planet's crust when the magma below shifted, reacting to Deku's moans as Katsuki's hands roamed over his lithe, freckled body.
Deku chanted his name and breathed out praises as the Sun god devoured him. The oceans reared violent waves that brutally crashed against the coast, matching Katsuki's lust-driven pace as he pounded into the smaller man.

The winds howled, carrying Deku's screams of pleasure.
Neither really knew what they were doing, driven only by instinct, by the all-consuming desire to be united and connected in all the ways their conflicting natures would allow.

They followed the call of their celestial bodies, exploring and chasing pleasure wherever it led them.
And as both reached their climax, a mighty tremble wrecked the earth, the broken crust sliding & colliding against each other, creating the first volcanoes.

Likewise, the Sun released its biggest solar flare yet, making the ocean's surface boil and setting Deku's forests ablaze.
There they were, panting heavily, a tangle of limbs in the midst of a world on fire. Katsuki was still buried deep inside Deku and the smaller man clenched around him, refusing to let the Sun god go.

"Oi," he pulled the nerd into a softer kiss. "You're literally burning up."
"It's okay," Deku murmured against his lips, a blissed out look on his face. "I'll heal. I always do."

"But doesn't it hurt you?" Katsuki frowned, gently brushing strands away from those vivid green eyes. The planet shrugged.

"It feels good," he admitted, grinning sheepishly.
"It's like the pressure under my skin was finally released."

Katsuki snorted, peppering his face w/ kisses that had Deku giggling fondly.

"Seriously nerd, do something about the fire."

Deku rolled his eyes & with a wave of his hand, rainclouds gathered over the burning lands.
Heavy rains began pouring down, dousing the flames before they could go further. Katsuki watched the last embers die just as they reached the field of orange tulips that Deku had created for him.

"Better?"

Katsuki hummed, tucking the other man tightly against his chest.
They stay like that, their naked bodies cooled and refreshed by the rain. At some point, Katsuki finally slipped out, the ensuing squelch making Deku hide his face in embarrassment.

His glowing seed flowed out, mixing with the rainwater before it seeped into the wet earth.
And on that patch of soil, several sprouts broke through, fueled by the sun's concentrated essence. Katsuki watched curiously as they grew into a fully grown plant with tall stems and a big flower perched at the top of the stalk.

"Deku," he nudged the sleepy man. "Look at this."
The flower had a big brown disk flanked by large yellow petals, spreading out like sun rays. It was currently bent at the stalk, all of them turned towards Katsuki. When the sun god moved, they followed.

"It's a sunflower," Deku cooed happily. "Your very own creation, Kacchan."
"Ours," Katsuki blurted, because the idea of /creating/ something w/ the other man, something uniquely theirs, made him lightheaded w/ longing.

Deku hummed approvingly & gave him a long, languid kiss. "Ours," he agreed. After a moment's pause, he added.

"I love you, Kacchan."
The way Deku was staring up at him with hope and unabashed fondness, his green eyes bright even under the shadow of dark clouds, left the Sun god breathless.

So he kissed him back, slow but deep.

And when they broke for air, Katsuki smiled and whispered softly into Deku's ear:
"I love you too, Izuku."
.
.
.
From that point onwards, Deku was known as Izuku, the long-lived, the eternal evergreen of Katsuki's galaxy.

He was further dubbed as Gaea, the Earth, the source of life and mother of all that thrived under the light of the Sun and even beyond it.
For eons, the Sun and the Earth celebrated their love, breaking and renewing the planet countless times with their world-shattering union.

New species flourished during their time, from silent foliage to an assortment of animals that populated the land, sky, and sea.
Katsuki continued to burn brightly in the sky, nourishing Deku as he birthed new creatures, large & small into existence. He grew more & more beautiful each day.

Everything was set in a delicate harmony, the cycle of life & nature undisturbed.

But then the first human was born.
