There should be quite a few socialists with their arse in their hands at the moment. Instead I hear the distant whining of self pity in the attempt to rally their followers in boosting their wounded egos and diverting the attention away from those that have been most hurt.

Even with overwhelming evidence there are people that choose to believe that these prominent socialists could never be guilty of such crimes. ‘But what about all the good work they’ve done?’ I hear them cry

What about it? It has no bearing on current events. Certain people have defended racist, ableist harassment and in doing so have alienated the very people they say they fight for. They have betrayed the trust of black people to protect their socialist facade.

I’ve always been a little wary of the Twitter socialist movement anyway, often superficial and disingenuous. I suppose this recent run of events has confirmed my suspicions. I wish I’d been wrong.

Before I finish this thread I also need to say that I’m in awe of the resilience, strength, dignity and just pure awesomeness my friends show me every single fucking day on this bird app. I sincerely love you all
