I’m hesitant to even share this because of the stigma around it but it’s too important. I had COVID two and half months ago and completely lost my taste and smell for six weeks.
I finally got my taste back about four weeks ago but I noticed regaining my smell was taking a little longer.
I thought I was finally getting over the hump of COVID’s nasty side effects but as of this Monday (10 weeks post COVID diagnosis), most everything tastes and smells like gasoline.
Apparently this is a result of my olfactory receptor neurons (I sound smart but that’s literally copied and pasted) regenerating. There’s not really an answer for how long this will last.
If you’re hesitant to get the vaccine because of the side effects, I can promise 👏🏻 you 👏🏻 the side effects of the vaccine are nowhere near as bad as the side effects of actually getting COVID.

GET. THE. VACCINE.
