The heist I’m working on is working-class contemporary realism. There’s no cool sexy setting, it’s just desperation, poor people & quality planning. It’s not aspirational self-insert (if I had those skills I could do that!) it’s “You do have those skills as a teenager right now”
The issue I’m starting to wrap my head around is that teens....might not be interested in “you learned this in APchem & you can use that knowledge to open a safe” or “your friend who takes MMA classes is genuinely dangerous.”

I don’t know if realistic and viable instructions on how to infiltrate spaces guarded by adults is what librarians want. I don’t know if “this is how you develop a heist team that could work in real life since this is a Contemporary Book not a fantasy” is what teachers want.
