I HATE COMPULSORY WOMEN IN CODING EVENTS omg they're so performative and so misogynistic and transphobic it just doesn't feelhelpful or empowering at all so I'll be talking about my excesive experience in those events a thread

"women brings a different perspective than man therefore we need women presence, they tend to care for details and organization"

"coding is right job for women since you can look after your child at home while working"

those were the women talking but many of those speakers are men since of course we have gender equality so men should go to stage and mensplain about how women are so precious for trying coding I don't remember the disgusting things they say anymore

and the most frustrating thing is audience is just there listening without thinking those statements are problematic

I hate it we should talk about the serious problems like the inequality of opportunities in industry because of patriarcy but here we are doing useless stuff like eating cake and listening how precious women are
