My Dad got his first dose of the vaccine last week. He has pretty advanced dementia. The GP noticed he was a bit anxious and fearful and remembered he sang in choirs all his life. He asked my mother what his favourite song to sing was and she said "Some Enchanted Evening" so he

played it on his laptop and sang it with him while he gave him the jab and he was like a kitten. GPs are awesome and most people in the real world are just generally beautiful and doing an amazing job of trying to make things better for all of us. Very grateful for such kindness.

I meet a lot of families in all sorts of circumstances and hear all kinds of stories in my job and the amount of love and kindness out there is just remarkable, inspiring. Sometimes you’d think this was a bad place full of terrible people and for all our problems it really isn’t.
