This will *shock* you, but the Marlins thought Marty Foster made a good call.

Mattingly: "It seemed pretty clear. It& #39;s one of those plays you can& #39;t make the runner avoid you there, so, not quite sure the letter of that rule, but it seemed pretty clear that you can& #39;t do that."
Isan Díaz: “He was just in my lane. If I kept going, we probably would have just continued to just collide [with] each other. He was right there, and I think the umpires made a good call.”
Umpire Marty Foster said he& #39;s seen replay of the call. "We dissected it a little bit as a crew. I’m 100 percent sure that the runner was impeded on his way to first base."
