So it seems like SMEG has come out of nowhere to be everywhere.

I played with one in a store and it felt incredibly cheap.

Anyone have one? Thoughts?

Now this thing on the other hand looks awesome!

From a brand that while I don't entirely trust (their electronics go wonky more than I would like) is at least established - the thing looks like a tank.

I don't know what a La Cornue Grand-Palais 180 costs - I would guess at least 40K- perhaps up to 80?

Perhaps it is just me being cheap/having some bad experience with boards dying in an oven and having to replace the entire thing.

I don't want a single electronic device in a range this high end.

It seems my range was right.
